The Leibniz research network HYPERAM taps into the cross-disciplinary synergies of three Leibniz institutes in the fields of life sciences, astrophysics, electronics, and medicine to transfer the knowledge in the direction of fast, staining-free, and noninvasive tissue diagnostics based on far-field Raman imaging for ex vivo (and a future in vivo) pathology. This approach offers the option of the intraoperative, clinical analysis of tissue with the help of functional Raman images to enlarge the display of tumor margins.
